  At the end of February I ordered some sand and cement for a patio project that I planning for week commencing 23rd March. When I placed my order I asked when it would be delivered as I was going on holiday and was told it would be when they were delivering in my area. I called them the day before I went away on the 4th March and was told it would be at the end of the week. They actually called me whilst I was away and asked where I wanted it leaving to which I told them in the front garden next to my paving slabs. So far so good until I returned from holiday some two weeks later on the 19th March and found that all six bags of cement had gone rock hard because they had been left out in the open air in paper bags. I telephoned S & M as soon as I realised to ask why they hadnt delivered in plastic bags or had covered them over with polythene. I spoke to someone called James who said that I needed to have asked them to do this. Considering that I had specifically told them at the time I ordered them that I was going away, I told him that I would have expected them to do this anyway. His attitude was to say the least quite rude and when I asked what he was prepared to do about it he said "Nothing thats your problem for not asking us to cover them". I then asked him if he was the manager or owner of the company and his response was " Whats it got to do with you?" I told him I thought it was very unfair that I had to go out again and buy more cement to replace the ruined ones which was no fault of my own and his reply was "Tough". Would I recommend this company? Most definately NOT!!!

  The system that the bank operates with one person at the till and seven or more customers waiting to be served is unacceptable service in 2016. The staff at this branch are excellent. It is the system that is in place that should be looked at and changed. I am looking to change my bank in the near future.
